This opportunity just came across my desk: A web-conference on Teaching and Learning Online, Oct 7-8.
If you’re moving towards complete online courses then this looks like a great professional development opportunity.

pICT will sponsor 7 faculty members to attend. If you’re interested here’s what you do.

  1. Look over the program and the dates and decide whether you have the time and desire to attend and be actively involved. We’d expect that you’d attend a fair amount, and use the asynchronous discussions, etc as well. No quiz, although we’d like whoever attends to get the most out of it and also be willing to share what s/he learns in any of the informal ways we exchange ideas.
  2. If your game and able, select 3 books. These are shipped to us, for you.
  3. Then email me with your intent to participate, along with your book choices.
