It’s worth noting that Tim’s proposal to present on his course redesign at the CSU Regional Symposium on Teaching & Learning in April was accepted … several other SDSU proposals for that event, most related to course redesign, were also accepted.
Congratulations Tim!
Interesting commonality between all three presenters - dissatisfaction with the status quo in terms of student learning - even though surface indicators / student satisfaction may not have indicated some sort of issue.
As a first-time user of clickers this semester, I have been investing most of my time creating new lecture content for my senior-level course. Because of these workshops, I’ve only had a few glitches (e.g., my CPS database was wiped out when I forgot to back it up when I had my laptop wiped of its Vista platform so that EXP could be installed).
